Loving Pablo

Pablo Escobar, a Colombian politician and drug lord, is considered as one of the cruelest criminals of the XX century. The movie is based on the memoirs of Colombian journalist Virginia Vallejo, describing her long-term and ambiguous relationship with the drug king. The main roles in “Loving Pablo” are played by a married couple: Javier Bardem and Penélope Cruz. Penélope has told in her interview that it had been a hard task for her to play this role because some of the movie scenes were really violent. However, she also told that it was really important to show the true world of Pablo Escobar without any sugar-coating.
