Summer 2017 will delight Kyiv dwellers and city guests not only with pleasant warm weather, nice beach relaxation and diverse outdoor activities, but also with a plenty of fascinating musical events.

Plastik Funk returns on Armada Deep with his newest blissed-out house masterpiece, "Got No Love." The German maestro teamed up with Sagan for the bouncy, funky track, which features standout piano riffs and vocals that you'll know by heart in no time. This year Kyiv will celebrate its 1535th birthday. All the celebrations and festivities will be happening not only on May 27th and May 28th, but for almost the whole week. There are over 30 special events planned to celebrate the capital’s birthday, which would be really tough to squeeze into these two days, so Kyiv City Council announced that the celebrations will last for several consecutive days.

This year Birmingham Literature festival will become the first foreign organization presenting its Alternative Albion curatorial project in the context of VII Book Arsenal festival 2017 in Kyiv.

Arsenal Book Festival in Kyiv is the largest event in Ukraine where art and literature come together. This is major annual book- and literature-themed event in Eastern Europe, held since 2011. In 2017 Kyiv will be hosting the 7th Arsenal Book Festival, which will traditionally become a platform for writers, philosophers and artists, literary agents and book industry professionals from more than 20 countries to network and share their experience.

On May 17-21, the Art Arsenal will host the 7th Book Arsenal International Festival. This platform brings together literature and art, representing new products from more than 150 publishing houses. It hosts a Section of Illustrators and offers various programs by authors and topics, as well as special projects designed by the team of curators that includes independent young critics, art managers and well-known writers.

A very special event will be held in Kyiv this May in connection with upcoming Eurovision 2017. This is Kyiv Lights Festival – the first festival of lights and media art in Kyiv. For three days, from 12 till 14 of May, Ukrainian and foreign video artists will transform ordinary buildings in the center of Kyiv into huge screens with spectacular video projections to demonstrate the great power of modern technologies.
