Kiev will host a large-scale festival of contemporary art WHAT I.F. FEST during the weekend of April 8-10, 2016.
WHAT I.F. FEST is part of a large-scale project of Ukrainian art market reboot, which aims to organize a series of exclusive events to stimulate a new wave of art. The first festival will open its doors on April 8, 2016 and will offer the following activities to the visitors:
- Exclusive works of contemporary artists
- Participation of the top galleries
- Performances from young independent theaters
- Fashion shows
- Celebrity guests
- Exclusive food and bar treats
- Closed Ukrainian art elite party in honor of the grand opening
The concept of the festival does not provide a clear and scheduled program since the main idea of the event is designed as to break the conventional patterns, encourage people to think ‘out-of-the-box’ denying common standards.
That is why the program has been prepared in such a way that the visitor becomes not just a passive viewer, but gets involved in the creative process. Depending on personal preferences, the guests will be able to spend time in the area of theater performances, enjoy painting, follow the master-classes from famous artists and participate in fashion shows in the interactive area. In addition, a special separate zone will be designed for making selfie photos.
The nightlife lovers will be treated with the big opening party for the art elite of the country.
WHAT I.F. FEST is open to all sorts of crowds and the organizers invite and encourage everyone to join the contemporary art fest.
At the moment, only the VIP guests know the details about the festival venue, but the organizers promise to raise the secret curtain and announce the location soon.
The best way to sum up the idea of the WHAT I.F. FEST is to cite on of the festival’s organizers: ‘The culture of our country is the indicator of our consciousness, freedom and identity. Join us to open a new angle of view on Modern Art!’
