Lviv food-and-drink scene is booming and brings new trendy places to drink and dine every season. As much as guests and locals love long-time establishments and neighborhood standbys they also want to know what's new and what’s happening around them. «Destinations» narrowed some of the best places to eat and drink in Lviv in February 2017.
Restauracja Baczewski (or Baczewski Restaurant) is a restaurant of modern Galician cuisine located in the heart of Lviv. Since the day this place opened its doors to all the authentic Galician cuisine enthusiasts, it keeps rather tight reservation list so it’s a good idea to book a table few days in advance.
The restaurant is dedicated to the famous Baczewski family who resided in Lviv in late 19th century and was one of the wealthiest families of the region, owning the biggest distillery and some other businesses. Baczewski were also known for being big philanthropists and donating a lot of money to charity. It is said that the family used to throw charitable balls and functions, which were often frequented by royalty and socialites who all came to savor sensational dishes prepared by Baczewski’s in-house Chefs.
The Restaurant celebrates Galician cuisine and all its brightest flavors. The food here is a mixture of Jewish, Polish, Ukrainian and Hungarian culinary traditions. Try to pop in for the Galician all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet served daily from 8 AM.

Occupying the ground floor of beautiful corner stone palazzo on Rynok Square, Atlas Restaurant is hard to pass by. This place reminds of restaurants on San Marco Square in Venice or somewhere in Paris downtown. Atlas Restaurant offers superb selection of European dishes, to-die-for desserts and exceptionally well mixed drinks. The interior of the place reveals Lviv grandeur of late 18th century and invites to spend some good time in soft leather chairs enjoying city views through spacious windows.

A well-known and beloved spot offers champagne (hence the name «Champagnerie») and gourmet hot dogs. This cozy cafe is located in the heart of the city on the ground floor of the corner house offering nice view over cobbled Lviv streets.
Expect impeccable hot dogs in pillowy buns and all manner of other pimped dude-food (they even have croissant dogs) and a great selection of champagne to go perfectly well with the gourmet food.

Even though this place is famous for its wine, drinks and parties, foodies know that they serve probably the most delicious burgers in the city. For the conscientious diners and consumers among us finding a decent vegan restaurant in Lviv can become quite challenging experience. Located in Lviv downtown, Vegano Hooligano Lviv offers relaxing atmosphere and a great selection of dishes that will impress most spoiled vegans. All the dishes on the menu are fully plant-based.
