The lights of hundreds of candles are reflecting against stone walls of Lviv’s most beautiful Dominical Cathedral and oldest stone houses in Lviv. Lviv Candles Festival is hosted by Lviv Candle Manufacture, which is located on Museum Square. Candle Manufacture occupies a corner house of the square and offers a cozy cafe, outdoor mini-stage for live gigs and aromatic hot drinks and delicious pastries. Lviv Candles Festival will take place in Lviv, on Museum Square on December 1, 2017. There will be various candle-making workshops, live music band gigs and a lot of aromatic coffee and mulled wine.

JazzBez festival. «Winter in Lviv starts with jazz» is a popular saying that Lviv jazz enthusiasts know well. JazzBez festival is the oldest jazz festival in Lviv and perhaps in Ukraine. For numerous jazz fans, JazzBez is a good tradition to start the winter with the top-notch jazz and unique atmosphere of beautiful old Lviv.

St. Nicholas Parade in Uzhgorod. That fun and entertaining event in Uzhgorod became a good tradition for locals as well as for numerous visitors of the city. On December 19, 2017 dozens of people, young and old, will parade along the city’s streets in St. Nicholas costumes, singing Christmas carols and giving sweets and cookies to all the children on the streets.
