Be my Marguerite! Swiss Performance in Kyiv

With its show "Be my Marguerite ! (or in the strangeness of solitude)", the Dyki Dushi Swiss theatrical company dares to explore the inner world with words of Marguerite Duras. The performance will be presented in Kyiv in framework of Days of Francophonie in Ukraine 2019 and the Year of the French Language in Ukraine.

The mono-performance will take place in Kyiv Contemporary Art Center "Dakh" on March 20 at 19.30, and on March 21 at 19.30 with the support of the Embassy of Switzerland in Ukraine.

When loneliness helps to free blockages...
In this performance, which lasts about 55 minutes and is inspired by remarks by Marguerite Duras, M. talks about universality of her life experience: between family life and love relationships. Her memories appear in the form of video-projections on an elegant scenography accompanied by electro music. The heroine is like an echo of what sounds in her head. She tries to calm her overactive mind to restore the simple pleasure of the moving body. M's confession sounds like a call to enjoy the life and cherish our ability to love.
The group consists of:
Madeline Bongard (actress, script writer)
Claire Finotti (scenography, design)
Thomas Kohler (composer and interpret of classical music for piano)
Hanna Lasserre (actor's coach)
Helena Payan (light, technical support)
Julien Petit (light, video)
Tali Serruya (theatricality)
Sor_L (sound recording of the performance)

"It is an intimate questioning that touches everyone at some point in their lives," - Madeleine Bongard, actress.

"There is no lesson, no judgment. It's more like a path to liberation," -Claire Finotti, painter, drawer.

The performance will be in French with Ukrainian subtitles.
