Libraria was officially opened at the first day of Alfajazz Fest and hosted jam sessions of famous musicians after their formal concerts at the festival. The bar was literally packed for 5 nights in a row and it became clear that this place would be an instant success. Alfajazz Fest passed, but Lviv first speak easy bar remained just as crowded as it used to be during the festival.

The speakeasy trend reached Kiev a couple of years ago and now the time has come for Lviv first speakeasy bar. Traditionally, speakeasies were places for illegal boozing that came to prominence during the Prohibition era in 1920s America. But ever since, they have taken on a mythical status: teacups brimming with gin, suave jazz musicians and a glitzy, retro dress code.
Libraria offers high-style interior with old-school bookish charm. Not surprisingly, there are books everywhere. While this venue isn't super serious about its bookish background, it's definitely a place where any bibliophile would definitely feel at home.
It’s a speakeasy-style bar, which means you need to know the exact location or password to get in, a reminder of Prohibition roots of all speakeasy institutions. Situated at Armenian courtyard, on the top floor of 15th century stone cottage, not a single sign indicates its location there.
Libraria premium bar features innovative cocktails crafted by their in-house expert mixologists, an impressive wine selection, and a range of domestic and imported spirits to assure the bar is stocked to satisfy every taste.
