The Tunnel of Love is one of the most picturesque and romantic places in Ukraine. Tourists travel from around the world to see this natural monument, which has already become a popular romantic destination in Ukraine for loving couples. Some newlyweds plant here flowers, which symbolize their feelings. . Even in the wintertime the place is charming: snow-capped trees render the Tunnel of Love a mysterious look.
This botanical phenomenon, created by trees and shrubs intertwined with each other, is a green leafy tube in a woodland that is about three kilometers long. It is part of the railway lines, linking Klevan with Orzhiv.
This gorgeous corridor provides a passage for a special private train: it goes three times a day and delivers wood to the fiberboard factory. Some people say that this fine-arched forest tunnel was shaped by a regularly passing train.
Local people for its charming appearance that reminds of a fairytale gave the ‘Tunnel of Love’ name to this place. Indeed, it is not very usual to get in the train and find yourself surrounded by natural green arches. In 2014, the Japanese director Akiyoshi Imazeki produced the romantic drama ‘Tunnel of Love: The Place for Miracles’, the plot of which is directly related to this beautiful natural wonder in Ukraine.
